***Precision Eye Group is open and seeing patients.***

We are now seeing routine patients and open during regular business hours Monday-Friday to take your calls, to schedule/reschedule appointments, triage any emergencies, take care of medication refills, take contact lens orders and schedule appointments for eyeglasses.

Your eye health and vision are extremely important to us. Now that we are able to see routine patients, we are working hard to address the many patients who need to be seen for all types of reasons.  If you are having problems with your vision/eye health and need to be seen sooner rather than later, please notify our office. On the other hand, if you are doing great (yay!) and are willing/able to allow someone who needs your appointment to go sooner, then we will happily reschedule you for a later date (and appreciate your flexibility and compassion!).

This is an unprecedented time in human history, and all of us at Precision Eye Group hope you and yours remain healthy and well during the pandemic.  We are working tirelessly to maintain care for our routine and emergency patients while abiding by all federal, state, and local health regulations.

WHAT IF I HAVE AN EYE EMERGENCY?

We are still available to see patients with emergencies and injuries.  If you have a medical eye emergency during office hours please call our office (812)332-2020 for Bloomington & (812) 279-4366 for Bedford! If it is outside of office hours and you’re an established patient, please call (812) 337-4809.

CAN YOU HELP ME IF I’M AFRAID TO COME TO THE OFFICE?

It’s possible!  Some emergencies must be seen in our office, such as injuries and objects stuck in the eye.  However, we can also use Telemedicine to see some other types of emergency patients.  Call our office to find out how we can help you.

ARE YOU STILL TAKING NON-EMERGENCY PHONE CALLS?

Yes!  Our team is available to answer all your questions by phone Monday- Friday during regular business hours!

WHAT IF I NEED A MEDICATION REFILL?

If you take medications prescribed by one of our doctors and you need refills, please call our office and we can get your refill sent in!

WHAT IF I HAVE A CHRONIC EYE DISEASE OR CONDITION?

Your eye health and vision are extremely important to us.  If you are one of our many patients with a chronic eye condition such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, allergies, dry eyes and many more, please stay calm and let us know if you have any sudden changes in your vision or eye health.  Continue your treatment exactly as you were instructed by your doctor.  We are working to get patients who had to reschedule appointments back on the schedule!

WHAT IF I HAD AN APPOINTMENT?

If you had an appointment scheduled over the past 6 weeks, please call us between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, and someone will help you reschedule.  We are also carefully keeping track of all patient appointments so that no one is forgotten after the pandemic is over and we resume seeing patients.

WHAT IF MY GLASSES ARE BROKEN?

Please call us between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, and someone will help you.

WHAT IF I NEED MORE CONTACT LENSES?

Please call us between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, and someone will help you.

WHAT IF I JUST ORDERED GLASSES OR CONTACT LENSES?

If you have glasses on order, we will call you when these are complete. We can accept credit card payments by phone and dispense curbside outside of the office or we can ship them directly to you with a $10 shipping fee. All contact lens orders at this time must be paid in full when ordering and we will ship them directly to you.  Please be patient, as there will be production delays due to the pandemic.

WHEN WILL YOU REOPEN?

Unfortunately, we do not know when we will reopen our doors completely. We have started seeing routine patients on a modified schedule. HOW CAN I KNOW WHEN YOU’RE OPEN AGAIN?

We will send emails and update our social media pages when we are scheduling routine patients again!

IMPORTANT NOTES FOR EMERGENCY PATIENTS:

If any of the following items is true for you, we must refer you to a medical center that is also equipped to serve COVID-19 patients, even if you have an eye emergency:

  • You have COVID-19 (the infection caused by the new coronavirus)
  • You have been in close contact with anyone who has COVID-19
  • You have a fever or had one in the last 48 hours
  • You have a cough
  • You have difficulty breathing
  • You have a respiratory illness such as a cold or the flu
  • You have traveled within the past two weeks

We will consistently monitor all federal, state, and local government alerts, and will abide by official mandates if/when they become available.

We are following and exceeding guidelines for health clinics from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the United States Department of Homeland Security, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Optometric Association, the Indiana Optometric Association, and other state and local authorities.
